CINCINNATI, OH | MAR. 19, 2024 — Orlando Sonza released the following statement after securing the Republican nomination for OH-01.

 

"I'm honored voters trust us to flip this seat. Now it's time to get to work. We need leaders in Congress who will deliver safer communities, better schools, a secure homefront, and economic prosperity for everyone. That's not happening with Greg Landsman in office."

 

"Our campaign will remain laser-focused on providing Southwest Ohio with the leadership necessary to solve problems and make life easier for Ohio families. I look forward to making my case to voters and winning in November."

Orlando Sonza is a proud Ohioan. A second-generation Filipino American, Orlando graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. Orlando served on active duty as an Infantry Officer and Finance Officer with the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia. After leaving active duty, Orlando obtained his master’s degree in taxation from the University of Cincinnati and his law degree from Georgetown Law. He is currently a prosecutor in the Hamilton County Prosecutor’s office. He and his wife Jessica live in Springfield Township with their four children.
