CINCINNATI, OH | October 31, 2024 — Today, Former Vice Mayor of Cincinnati and Former President of the Cincinnati NAACP Christopher Smitherman endorsed Orlando Sonza for Ohio's First Congressional District.

Vice Mayor Smitherman released this statement along with the endorsement:

"I am honored to announce my endorsement and support for Orlando Sonza for OH-01. Orlando's background as a husband and father, U.S. Army Veteran, CPA, and former prosecutor is what we need to help families pursue the American Dream. I am confident that he is the right person to represent all of us in Congress."

Orlando Sonza released this statement following Vice Mayor Smitherman's endorsement:

“I am honored to have the confidence and endorsement of Christopher Smitherman in this race. Christopher has been an independent leader in Cincinnati for many years, and independent voters, like Christopher, are joining our campaign because we have the right vision for protecting the American Dream for working families in Southwest Ohio. This broad coalition is ready to hold Greg Landsman accountable on November 5th."
