As the father of four kids below the age of 8, Orlando is committed to ensuring that all students, no matter their background, have access to quality education. That's why he is a supporter of school choice vouchers.
Orlando believes that charter schools offer parents and students more educational options, especially for those who may not have access to high-quality public schools. In his experience, charter schools may provide a more innovative approach to education that is tailored to meet the specific needs of individual students. However, we must also ensure that charter schools are held to the same standards of accountability and transparency as traditional public schools to ensure that they are providing a quality education.
Orlando is determined to empower parents to choose the school that best fits their child's needs. Vouchers can also help level the playing field for low-income families who may not have the financial means to send their children to a private school.
